The 2 K-9 animals carried out sterilization around cargo packages, car parks, motorbike parks, platforms, counters and passenger waiting areas. The K-9s have been trained by Satwa members to track the whereabouts of suspicious items. Such as narcotics, bombs and others.
Surakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr. Pol. Catur Cahyono Wibowo, SIK.MH through Head of Samapta Police Commissioner Arfian Riski Dwi Wibowo, SIK said that in order to ensure the safety and comfort of the community during the 2025 Eid homecoming, the Surakarta Police deployed the K-9 Unit (Wildlife Unit) to assist in security at the Train Station and Bus Terminal.
“This sterilization activity is carried out every before and after Eid. Because many people carry out homecoming using trains or buses,” said Police Commissioner Arfian.
“The purpose of this activity is to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community who use public transportation and are active ahead of Eid 2025,” he concluded.
